Got a Job!

Woo Hoo!!! I have thoroughly enjoyed my vacation, but now it is over. I finally got a part-time job which means I have a lot more play money! What a relief.

Interview was hilarious. After about 5 minutes of chatting with regional manager, he instructs me to start over and says that he was not listening to a word of what I was saying. I was extremely taken back. LOL He explained that he was not expecting the accent to come out and it really threw him off. I love it. I guess my Southern charm paid off in the end.

Hookah!!

With new friends comes new experiences. My sweet Natalie from one of my classes has taken Chelsea and I under her wing. She has already compiled a list of all the places and things we need to do before we leave the great state of California!! Love her. Of course we had to start with some cultural fun! Our first stop was "The Spot" hookah lounge. What a cool place. We had the best time and met some really great people. Never thought I would see the day! It was surprisingly good. For those of you who aren't familiar with hookah, it is flavored tobacco that you smoke out of a rather interesting contraption. And, no it is not weed like my mother thought. LOL The conversation was hilarious. Apparently girls from Louisiana are much different than girls from California! Our new friends were shocked to find out not only do we watch football, but we love it and understand it. :)

Continuing with the football theme, I can't believe I am not in Louisiana for the first LSU game of the season. Lucky for me, neither are the Tigers! Going to have my first experience with "tailgating" in a restaurant! SoCal LSU Alumni Association, I hope you are ready for me and Chels! GEAUX TIGERS!
